Sutra is a six-monthly online open access international journal of mathematical science education that publishes articles about mathematical science, mathematicians, and the history and culture of mathematics. Sutra means a formula (mathematical rule). Articles submitted to the Sutra should be written in a clear and luminous expository style. The Sutra is not a research journal; papers in a concise "theorem-proof" style are inappropriate for publication.  It performs the functions of a newsletter, a magazine and journal, particularly aimed at the student and teacher audience.

The journal also features information on emergent mathematical science communities around the world, new interdisciplinary trends, and relations between mathematical science and other areas of culture.

Originality

Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered. Furthermore, simultaneous submissions are not acceptable. Submission of a manuscript is interpreted as a statement of certification that no part of the manuscript is copyrighted by any other publication nor is under review by any other formal publication. It is the primary responsibility of the author to obtain proper permission for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript, prior to the submission of the manuscript to Sutra.

Read Submission Guidelines before sending the manuscript to Sutra »
