Background

I am a professor of computer science and holds academic assignments in India and abroad. I have a professor/senior researcher position at the Western Norway Research Institute (Vestlandsforsking), Norway. In 1997, I set up the Technomathematics Research Foundation in India. As founder, I am instrumental in ensuring that the Technomathematics Research Foundation (TMRF) lends a platform for research. TMRF has become one of the well-known organizations amongst the research community worldwide.

My research experience includes over 20 years in the Academia spanning different universities in Asia, Europe and North America. My current research agenda basically concentrates on learning and language --- how each works in the human and how they can be replicated in a machine.

I received DAAD fellowship in 1990 and also was awarded prestigious BOYSCASTS Young Scientist award of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, in 1997. I am the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Computer Science & Applications (IJCSA) and Associate Editor of International Journal of Metadata, Semantics and Ontologies  (IJMSO). I am involved as the scientific committee member of many international conferences and also serve the editorial board of international journals in computer science & technology. I have authored 13 books, more than 90 research papers and edited 5 volumes of international conferences. I am also actively involved in many industrial research and development projects for more than 16 years. In 2010, I initiated world wide network on Web Intelligence, Mining and Semantics.
