Submission of Papers: Papers
may
be submitted to any member of the Editorial Board or direct to the Chief
Editor. To speed up the reviewing process and decrease paper
work,
authors are advised to select carefully from our large Editorial
Board the one member whose
field
of interest is closest to the work submitted. All prospective authors
must
submit their manuscripts electronically. Only MS Word or PDF file
is accepted.
Submission of a manuscript to JHCR will be taken to imply that it represents original work nor previously published, that is not being considered elsewhere for publication. Review Process: The Editor first evaluates all manuscripts. It is rare, but it is entirely feasible for an exceptional manuscript to be accepted at this stage. Those rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, have poor grammar or English language, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal. The manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria are reviewed by at least two referees. Positive recommendation of the Editor and concurrence of the Chief Editor constitute approval for publication. Authors who are not contacted within 20 weeks may consider their paper rejected.
Final Manuscript: If the manuscript is accepted for publication in JHCR, it must not be published in any periodical elsewhere without the permission of the editorial board. The basic file format of the final manuscript for publication is LaTeX processing system with basic font 11pt size. But MS WORD format is also acceptable.
Language: The language of publication is English.
Style: Manuscripts should be double spaced, with wide margins, and printed on one side of the paper only. All pages should be numbered consequently. Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: the title; the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s); abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgments; appendixes (as appropriate); references; table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figure caption(s) (as a list). Titles and subtitles should be short. Abstracts of 100 - 300 words should give a clear and concise idea of the paper’s content. The abstract should be followed by a list of 4 − 5 keywords identifying the subject. Keywords should summarize the major areas to which the paper pertains. For numeration of Sections, use consecutive numeration for major sections of the paper, e.g., 1, 2, 3, ..., etc. For subsections, the style is as follows: 2.1 denotes the first subsection of Section 2.
Figures: All illustrations should be provided in camera-ready form, suitable for reproduction (which may include reduction) without retouching. In addition, illustrations should be sent in electronic form wherever possible, with each illustration included as an individual EPS file.
Tables: Tables should be numbered consecutively and given a suitable caption, and each table typed on a separate sheet.
References: References must be quoted in the text in square brackets, i.e., [1] or [2, pp.23-25]. The references should be brought at the end of the article, and numbered in the order of their appearance in the paper. Abbreviations of journal titles should follow those given in the World List of Scientific Periodicals (latest edition).
Length: An JHCR paper should not exceed 25 typeset, printed pages.
Proofs: The corresponding author will receive page proofs (including figures) by e-mail for correction, which must be returned to the typesetter within 7 days of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be acceptable.
Copyright: Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has been neither published nor submitted for publication, in whole or in part, either in a serial, professional journal or as a part in a book. Authors will be asked to sign the “transfer of copyright” agreement to publisher before publication of the work. Page charges and Reprint: There will be no page charges in the journal. IMPORTANT NOTE: The
publication time may be around 12 to 18
months after the final acceptance of the manuscripts. Once a paper is
published in JHCR, main author will get one copy of the journal issue
from the publisher.
Additional print copies of individual issues can be purchased by
contacting the Publisher
(serials@sify.com).
The Chief Editor is NOT responsible for dispatching copies of the published issues to JHCR authors. |
