ISAI'2001

International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence
Fort Panhala(Kolhapur), India.
December 18 - 20, 2001

Introduction

International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (ISAI’2001) is devoted to communicate significant developments in all the areas pertinent to “Artificial Intelligence”.  Manmade intelligence has been a dream and nightmare of mankind for centuries. In the 1950s, electronic brains led to the birth of the science of artificial intelligence (AI). Will AI fulfill its promise to convert mankind’s fantasies into reality? The symposium will explore the current nature of AI by discussing its goals, tools, and accomplishments, and some of the debates it has engendered. This symposium would give us a revealing picture of the current state of this promising discipline. An artificial intelligence poses inspiring scientific challenges, which deserve much focused attention. However, there has not yet been a dedicated forum in this part of the world, and this symposium addresses the need. It is also expected that further progress can be made through the interaction between computer scientists in India and abroad. This symposium is intended to provide a framework for establishing fruitful dialogue.
